My System: Tm3500usb, TM5400usb super, cas3, m2+,Diablo wireless 2.3rev, Stab usualsHH90 driving arcon multi 57cm dish with dual feed ,Skystar2 HDCI, Altdvb, My theatre, vplug, windows xp, Arcon sweety 43cm for astra1 perched behind window Multimo 40cm for ho
Question Altdvb and simple diseqc HELP PLEASE

Can anyone tell me how i can switch between two satellites using Altdvb, i have skystar 2 usb and using drivers 4.1.1,
If i use my theatre its so simple but my prob with my theatre is it wont work with two satellites and a whole lot of plugins, it just frezzes once i load plugins and besides altdvb picture quality is second to none.
DVB dream looks like it can handle a simple switch but that wont work for me neither.
Altdvb is my prefered veiwer and have everything open that is possible on astra and hotbird but cannot switch between the two. in the settings there is a diseqc menu but it seems as if its for motorised, there is a menu which is headed diseqc comands followed by an option called repeat prefix with two options E0 or E1, then there are three adress options called SW1,SW2,SW3 all pre set at 10 of which i suppose you could input any number from 1-1000
then there is one further option called positioner adress which is pre set to 31, there is one final menu called usuals, there is also a tick untick option which says set up switches when band/polarity changes, i have tried ticking and unticking this option but still cannot switch between the two satellites using the channel menu.
can anyone point me in the right direction. i have two dishes connected to a diseqc switch and like i said it works perfect on my theatre switchin very very quickly without interuption. ,
seems like there is no option on altdvb for a simple switch, only for a not so simple switch. are there any plugins available or updates. please someone help me, its frustrating only being able to watch one sat at a time and having to switch leads.
any help greatly apprecited.
Many Thanks

Yes, there are many reports about the later versions crashes the computer.
Did you find out if it can help you solve the problem with having two satellites or not?
I am using an old version 4.51.3 and it is quite stable.

Try to locate this file, install it and see if it can help you.
If you can't find it, I might still have it on my PC and can upload it here.

Thanks for advice, I tried to locate the progdvb file to no avail, but in the meantime i discovered how to set the simple diseqc on altdvb, infact so simple its untrue, the settings are hidden within the add or edit satellite menu.
now able to switch between hotbird and astra no problem.
Now spoilt for choice on veiwing.
Thanks very much

Glad that you sorted out this problem.
If the solution is not in their help file, perhaps you can post a "How to" tutorial with screen attachments, for the benefits of other future users.
