My System: KNC 1 DVB S2 PCI card installed in PC with 4 LNB's on 85CM Dish connected via DiSeqc 1 to 4 switch. TRex4.6 and Diablo CAMs
Question KNC1 TV Station DVB S2 & CI problems.

Hi All,
has anybody got a working setup using a KNC1 DVB-S2 sat card and the CineView CI interface?

I have tried everything I can find to sort this but still no joy decoding Sky with a legit subscription card. I have been in contact with KNC1 support who sent me details of a modification regarding drilling out a track on the CineView PCB to make the interface 5v only. The Diablo & TRex CAMS are 5v so this prevents the supply running at 3.3v. I have been sent the latest BDA driver that is supposed to support the CI interface but still no joy. I can view FTA channels no problem, but can never see any payed for channels. I have added the box serial number that is registered to the card and tried updaing the software on the CAM.

I have also tried using a full version of DVBViewer but still cannot decode encrypted channels. The only time I can get any info from the CAM is when I use an old version of the GlobeTV software that is on the CD that cam with the sat card, of if I plug the CAM into my CAS3+ programmer.

Anybody have any ideas or knowledge of this? Details of how you configure the system would be really useful.

Cheers,
Shepster.
