My System: Currently just a dish... looking to get back into it after some years
Newbi seeking help - Freesat HTPC

Hi,

I am looking to set up a HTPC with freesat capabilities.

I currently have a sky dish and an unused duel LNB dish pointing at 1W. My father set this up 4-5 years ago but remained pretty much unused. The reciever has gone but the dish remains.

I would like to dump sky and get freesat instead.

What PC spec and cards do I need to make a decent freesat PVR HTPC. And if I can reuse the existing 1w dish a bonus too.

I work in IT so don't be shy with PC stuff, but please be gentle with the satellite tech stuff.

Thanks
