ITV HD and Skystar HD2

Has anybody managed to get ITV HD open with a Skystar HD 2? I would be interested to know how they have gone about doing it, is so. I am using DVB Viewer as my software.

OK with DVBViewer Pro. Should be OK with DVB Viewer too. As long as you have the correct parameters as in the pic, you should have no problem.

I found a .ini that contained the following text and I managed to open it using that. I'd tried some of the other .ini files using dvbviewer and SS HD2 but none of them worked except the one I posted below.

Polarity=h
Symbolrate=27500

*edit* Didn't see your pic above, Llew, looks like yours is the same data. Thanks for your time.

I could never find a BDA driver that worked with AltDVB using SS HD2.
Maybe there's one out there somewhere. Same with DVBDream.

Works fine for me withDVBViewer Pro. ProgDVB Pro OK too on a good day when it doesn't crash (probably my setup).

No doubt VPlug will work if you do manage to find a driver eventually.

Yes, the SSHD2 is a rebadge of the Azurewave. both use the Mantis driver.
Don't know the application s/w of the Azurewave, I might see if it works with the SS2.

My System: MULTI SATELLITE

I dont know whether this helps, but there is a replacement bda device driver available for altdvb that supports the azurewave, I use it with mine.

Thanks, did try that one but the SS2 HD2 is not recognised using that in my AltDVB.

There's a difference in the subsystem IDs between the two cards, as I tried to use the Skystar in Linux and had to change the IDs from the Azurewave's to mine for the card to be recognised. How this is achieved in XP or whether it can be done I don't know.

For Linux, see _http://tinyurl.com/5j9net
