Software Satellite Meter

Hi all,
I am looking for a software satellite meter that runs on PC with installed satellite PC card.

I want to show the signal strength of each satellite transponder exactly the same way as any regular signal meter does (i.e. bins aligned across the display).

Speed of tracking is not a problem as the displayed graphs will not be used to detect satellites but to compare the signal received using different LNBFs. This task is a part of a bigger project to design better feedhorns and assure the correct design using frequency analysis graphs.

Sorry if the question is stupid but I am completely illiterate about satellite PC cards and their drivers.

Any ideas ???

Thanks for that. The software is brilliant.
I like the idea of the attached http server that can send information over the network to other viewing node.

Many thanks again

Hi,
Fast Sat Finder is a pretty cool program with many snazzy features. HOWEVER, I will be happier if I can log the transponders strength and quality in an ASCII file that can be imported to other data processing programs.

Although this requirement seems so picky but it is important in my field.

My System: Covering 30W-105.5E range, two motors, C and Ku band. Various receivers/cards/cams/etc.

Also shold be noted, fastsatfinder often "detects" signal, where it's totally absent!

I prefer Setup4PC for such tasks. In addition to signal strength, gives me SNR and BER information.
