Which application are you using? (DVBViewer, ProgDVB or...?)

My System: sky digi box mini dish

Hi, I'm not using any application, after I installed the skystar 2 software I clicked on the red Icon in system tray and it said no signal, I have since loaned a tv from a friend just to do a signal test on my sky digi box and I'm getting a good signal from the dish, i'm new to tv cards so I don't really know what I'm doing, on the install cd it says the manual is on the cd but when I run the cd again it just wants to install again

Clicking on the red icon gets you Technisat's Setup4pc's software which is auto installed on using the Skystar. Don't bother with it. Your CD should allow you to install the basic DVBViewer. Or search for a more versatile application such as ProgDVB 0r DVBDream, both free.

DVBViewer (or any other viewer) will set up your card to receive the signal from your dish.

In DVBViewer, click on Options - hardware to see that Skystar2 is listed.

Click on Channel - channellist in the top bar and choose Astra 28E and find a FTA channel to view.
