A lot of sky HD channels missing on scan?

Hi, had to update my channel list for DVBViewer using TransEdit. Used a couple of transponder lists but both of them were missing a lot of sky HD channels, anyone got any ideas where they have gone?

cheers

I would like you to be rephrase the question or at least expand upon what you have posted so far as I am not sure what it is you are attempting to do, why you are doing it and what is missing from where?

My System: DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, Asus P5W DH Deluxe, 2048 MB RAM (DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM), NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT (512 MB), TT-budget S2-3200, T-Rex Super 4.6

OK I'll expand on what im on about.

I have a Technotrend budget S2-3200 with a CAM and T-Rex so I can put my Sky card into my pc and watch the encrypted channels.

Every so often I need to rescan the channel list using TransEdit and an .ini file, from say here _http://en.kingofsat.net/tv-28.2E.php

When I scan 11798.00 H where 6 Sky HD channels are, nothing shows up in TransEdit. (There are around 6 other frequencies that dont scan too)

All the other channels show up and I can watch them on my pc using my sky card, what I wanted to know is why those frequencies dont show up all the channels?

Hope that explains it!

cheers

As an example, can you scan in 12246V?

Make sure the parameterrs as I show here are set and added in TransEdit as a new channel, as possibly your .ini file isn't showing it as an S2 channel?

...and here's the scan of 11.798H (comes out on my scan as 11.797H, but that's just my tuner).

Just a thought, have you ticked DVB S2 device in the DVBViewer hardware panel?

I'm using a Skystar HD2 with a Mantis driver, but if you are OK with non-HD channels, your card should pick up the HD stuff too.

Other than that, can't think what the problem is.

I notice that the ones you can pick up are on the South footprint of Astra 2B and Eurobird 1. You should easily be able to get both South and North beams. Maybe your dish is badly misaligned?

Last gasp at a possibility - pci card tuner sensitivity poor compared to your digibox?

Do you get all the SD channels OK on all the Astra/Eurobird channels?

Oh well, the obvious isn't always the one that springs to mind readily

Glad you're up and running
