Red face new to sats and struggling

Im an aged newbeeI bought a technisat Skystar HD card a while ago.Ive justupdated to sky plus and thought I,d use thespares on the quad lnb to get freeview on my computer.Ive read as much as I can find on the subject installed the card, wasnt sure it would be compatible with Vista 64bit but confident technisat would catch up.I looked in device manager for the card it shows as "others" multimedia controller but it has no driver.Ive Dvb viewer installed but it cant work proper unless the tv card has a driver which I cant find anywhere. Please help ,am I on the right track? Is there a driver for the card compatable with Vista 64bit.I seem to be going round in circles. Thanks in anticipation

At the moment they only show 32bit drivers, you might try Emailing them. _http://www.technisat.de/index586f.html?nav=Downloads,de,33&pID=22

Hello kwret, and welcome to the forum

Unfortunately, drivers for Vista are still a problem with a lot of hardware, running a 64bit processor makes things even trickier.

You may find this thread interesting,

I see you have 4Gb of RAM on your PC. Reducing the available RAM might help. (Note, its Vista SP1)

Another more cumbersome workaround could be to use a Virtual Machine running Win XP or something else. At the minute, I use VirtualBox for my VM's _http://www.virtualbox.org/

A combination of 'VMX Builder' and 'VMware Player' also works well. (All 3 are Free to use)

Good Luck
