Satellite control data...

Hi

I was pondering this question last night. Is it possible to see a satellites control information (data like positioning, fuel and transponder status etc)? I thought it'd be interesting to see what data some of them birds report and if I could pick that up on my existing kit (DVB-S card and a 1m Dish). Do these satellites broadcast their control data on Ku band or C or some other arkward frequency and is it encrypted?

I'm sure it'd be interesting to see what some of these birds report, especially when they're having problems or on the move....

My System: Covering 30W-105.5E range, two motors, C and Ku band. Various receivers/cards/cams/etc.

I think such kind of information is not disclosed to wide public..

Maybe some insider will leak some info.
