Hi I was pondering this question last night. Is it possible to see a satellites control information (data like positioning, fuel and transponder status etc)? I thought it'd be interesting to see what data some of them birds report and if I could pick that up on my existing kit (DVB-S card and a 1m Dish). Do these satellites broadcast their control data on Ku band or C or some other arkward frequency and is it encrypted? I'm sure it'd be interesting to see what some of these birds report, especially when they're having problems or on the move.... | ||

My System: Covering 30W-105.5E range, two motors, C and Ku band. Various receivers/cards/cams/etc. | I think such kind of information is not disclosed to wide public.. Maybe some insider will leak some info. | ||
