My System: Irish Sky sub, Freesat HD from 28.2 East, BIS 5W and a Motorised Dish with a HTPC holding it all together |
At last I've successfully decoded FTA 4:2:2 streams on my HTPC with DVBViewer. The key is to download and install the Elecard MPEG-2 codec. To watch 4:2:2 streams, tune into the stream in DVBViewer with the help of their Transedit software. This allows you to specify the tuning parameters and then add that transponder to DVBViewer's transponder list. Start up DVBViewer, scan the new transponder and select the 4:2:2 channel you want to watch. Go to Options...DirectX and select the Elecard codec as the MPEG-2 codec. This should give you pictures from the stream. I've successfully watched Tipperary beat Cork in the hurling this afternoon thanks to being able to tune into the 4:2:2 streams on Thor!

My System: 10' c/ku dish with VonWeise, Gbox 3000, 90cm offset, SG-2100, Dvbworld 2104 USB, Dvbworld 2004 PCI, Twinhan 1020A, BLSA BroadLogic PCI, TBS 8920 PCI |
You could also try FFdshow, Entymonix, and Dscaler, they will all display a 4:2:2 signal.
