Astra Connect 2 Way Satellite Broadband

Is anyone using the above system as provided by Beyondsl?

If so what do you think of the kit cost of £299 and what are the speeds and installation like?

Thanks

My System: Astra2Connect / Belkin N1 Vision Wireless Router / 2 PCs

I don't know if this reply is too late but ....

I've had the Astra2 service from Beyondsl for about 6 months now and having got over the honeymoon period (of finally getting broadband) I find the service mixed. The Beyondsl company were great in helping me to get the Astra2 connect service installed, which was quick and easy. The kit is OK.

However, after installation I find the speeds variable. It tends to be good in the morning when I get near my max service level speed of 1Mb (typically 500k - 800k) but this tails off during the day to the point where it vitually stops from say 6pm - 10pm. After this time the service gradually speeds up again. I would no consider myself to be a particularly heavy user as I only use the system for surfing with minimal downloads of files.
