My System: HTPC setup
Missing Channels

I am running Media Portal with a Pinnacle 7010ix card. For a while I have quite happily been using the DVB-T tuners to pick up Freeview but I have eventually bugged the landlord enough to get the satellite connection working.

I live in a large block of flats with a communal dish. There is a single coax cable coming in feeding one socket with TV/RADIO/SAT connections. Until yesterday I was getting no receiption at all on the satellite connection.

Someone turned up yesterday at 10am (said they would be here at 2pm...) so I did not see them but they have obviously did something as I am now watching BBC HD

Issue is I can not tune to many transponders (using Media Portal or DVB Viewer)

oddly the missing channels do largely seem to be the transponders that only transmit with Horizontal polarity eg I am missing 10714 MHz which I believe contains some of the Channel4 channels.

I can quite happily tune to 10729 (where the channels are with Vertial polarity) and pick up the other Channel 4 offerings.

I am picking up some Horizontal stuff like Sky Premiere on 12460Mhz and Portal Video 6 on 12421Mhz but not a lot else.

This is the same on Astra and Eurobird 1 as I am picking up the Vertical channels as 11223.67Mhz but not the horizontal ones at 11222.17 MHz.

Not sure if the horizontal thing is a red herring or not but sure looks odd??

Can anyone shed any light as to where to start? Is this likely to be an odd config with the distribution in the block, is it something I am not setting correctly or is there something else ??
