My System: Compro VideoMate S350 + Violet Phoenix card reader, DVB Dream v1.4i p1 + NDSCam v.0.0.0.7
Can not find Sky HD channels

I have a Compro VideoMate 350S and a Violet Phoenix smartcard reader. Using DVB Dream v1.4i p1 with NDSCam v.0.0.0.7.

I am using a valid Sky card that has the family pack and what not (no HD pack). I have this setup and working, can view FIVER, Sky1, Barvo, Discovery, History etc.

But I do not see Channel 4 HD or any other Sky HD channels in my list after a full scan. I also can not see BET HD (is that gone now?).

All I want at the moment is Channel 4 HD, but I don't want to invest in the Sky HD package until I know I can view Sky HD channels.

I downloaded a new transponder file from kingofsat (0285.ini), my old one was from 2007 :/ - but I still can not see Channel 4 HD or any other Sky HD channels.

I did find Rush HD but my subscription does not include that channel as I am aware.

I tried a manual scan, put in all the right details but doesn't find the channel.

Thanks.

Well

I am not into this HD malarky however I fail to see how you expect a DVB-S tuner manufactured to process SD signals to provide you with HD signals, surely you would need an S2 satellite tuner card, or am I missing something here?

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention, this is a DVB-S2 card I believe, I can view BBC HD, ITV HD and Luxe HD with no problems.

You won't find Channel 4 HD or Sky HD as they're DVB-S2 channels.

The HD ones you can receive are DVB-S channels (MPEG4 video), which can be scanned with a DVB-S card. Which your Compro is.

I assumed this was DVB-S2 as it said it supported HD channels. I guess I'll have to put this project on hold until I eventually get some spare money.

Thank you for your replies, both of you.
