Can't tune 9e on DVBviewer

Hi Guys,

First of all I want to thank you for helping me get my system to the state it is now in... hundreds of free channels including bbc hd.

I have a Triax 110 and four lnbs, a diseq 1.0 and a wintv nova s2 card in my pc and have purchased the full version of dvbviewer.

The lnbs are lined up to 28e, 19e, 13e and 9e.

I can't get dvbviewer to see 9e. I have downloaded several channellists but none seem to have 9e on the channel scan dropdown. I can see these channels on wintv7.

I posted these questions on dvbviewer website and got no response!

Thanks for your help.

I'm surprised you don't have Eurobird 9 in your list. In DVBViewer's root directory, is there a 0090.ini file in the Transponder folder? If not, you must have a very old list.

If that's the case, unzip and add this .ini file to the transponder folder and see if it appears in your drop down list.

Thanks,

I already had a file with that name - but still no Eurobird 9 in the Transponder List. (I do have eurobird 3)

What should I see in the Target Root drop down?

I am also getting other channels in wintv that don't appear in DVBviewer - eg Liverpool fc tv.

Any advice is welcome!

I think WinTV use a satellites.xml file, different to DVBViewer.

The Target Root is where you add your scanned transponders. Either use an existing satellite name e.g Eurobird 9 (which you don't have at the moment) or write it into the drop-down list. You could then scan in a known Eurobird 9 TP channel using an unused satellite in the transponder list and add it to the root folder's Eurobird 9. No idea if that would work though.

Much better to use the much more versatile Transedit program available from the DVBViewer site, which works in tandem with DVBViewer. You could then check if Eurobird 9 is in its Transponder list.
