My System: MythTV PVR 350 new build with TT---- & TT3200-S2 85cm Fortec dish with Maplin LNB pointing at 23.5E
CAM or USB Card Reader

I'm newbie to Satellite world and all this encrption stuff but need some help in figure out what is needed to finsh updating my Linux MythTV system to effectly decrpt Skylink on Astra 23.5E for which I have just recevied the skylink card.

As far as I've worked out there are two route to decrpytion
Use a dvb-s card with a CI slot & CAM
Use a dvb-s card with sasc-ng and smart card reader

But now I get to the problem if I go CI + CAM; what CAM do I get? as I it understand Skylink are going to update there encrption system soon" target="_blank">http://www.satellites.co.uk/satellite/daily-satellite-broadcast-industry-news/158749-irdeto-unveils-new-system.html will I need to replace it. Also do CAM's honor the activation code and support HD?

The smart card reader to me sound like an cheaper option and easy to upgrade but is it possible for a card to recevie updates and activation codes?

Sorry if these are novice question but I'm stuck and struggling to locate the answers.
