My System: 3.2Ghz Quadcore PC 6GB Ram ATI 3870x2 Radeon Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Skystar HD2 card with Sky+ HD |
Now ive got everything working with my card, I am looking to get a CI module for it, so I can get all the pay channels, but I have a small question, I am looking at 2 of these CI modules below: http://cgi.Ebay http://cgi.Ebay If I bought one of these, which 1? and the main question is, if I buy 1 of these and install it, would I be able to put in my sky+hd card from my box, and be able to receive all of the subscribed channels and HD channels, or is it not as simple as that?

Skystar2 /Twinhan SD /TS S2-3200 pci cards | Hi friend .. Those are not Cam modules ...but simply the adaptor slot into which the cam module would plug in.. your sub card would have to slot into a cam ...and the cam/card then slot into the adaptor. Your problem is that there is no official cam available for sky.. there are workarounds using certain cams .. I've no doubt you will get more info on this from other posters..as to which cam and how to do it.. One thing is certain .. You will have to take your card out of the cam periodically and slot it into its origional 'paired' sky box ..to receive updates .. This would work for SD sky channels ...but I can't confirm if HD is possible.. nor can I confirm if this works with the new 'white' cards. rgds

My System: 3.2Ghz Quadcore PC 6GB Ram ATI 3870x2 Radeon Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Skystar HD2 card with Sky+ HD | Ok thanks for the info, of course when we got our new white cards, I wasnt thinking about getting a pc sat card, so cut up the old blue 1, I will try and find out some more about a compatible cam before I get the pci module

My System: 3.2Ghz Quadcore PC 6GB Ram ATI 3870x2 Radeon Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Skystar HD2 card with Sky+ HD | I have looked into this a bit further after searching a bit on the net It looks like there is currently no working CAM at the moment that will work properly with the new white sky cards The 2 main ones (Dragon and Phoenix) I'm not sure if anyone has actually managed to get a new white card working with either or these cams, or if there is a hack/workaround Any ideas?
