Problems With MultiDec Booting.

Problems With MultiDec Booting.

After a hard drive crash I can,t get MultiDec to boot any more.I used to use it all the time and found it the best program for logging.I,ve tried Versions 8.1b and 8.2.I have no IRQ conflicts and have read everything I,ve found on the matter for the last 3 weeks. It must be a problem with software or setting up as I can get ProgDVB-WatchTV to work o,k But I want to do some logging and prefer MultiDec over Gizlog or MLog(Which work O,K)as you can see what your logging on screen as your doing it.I downloaded new versions and tried but all I get when booting is

SAA7146 No
Bytes 3072 suitable
DVB Fail Hardware

SOMETIMES:
DVB-Hardware
SAA7146
Bytes 254036

Firmware 0x01670000 No
Decoder-Init Fail Suitable
DVB FAIL Hardware

I,m running 1.3gig with 20gig hard drive and 512meg memory.
Running TechnoTrend 210 Software
Have tried older drivers also.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Hmm, sounds like a tricky one Rebel, can't say that I have any particular experience with Multidec and I would guess from the lack of replies that other members who are using the software have not experienced similar problems. The only thing I would say is that with some DVB software, any existing version of software must be completely removed prior to installation.

My System: Sky HD, TM6800HD, Manhattan Plaza ST550 and TM1500 CI+. 1.0m dish and 36v motor, Panasonic DVD HDD recorder and Panasonic video/DVD recorder. Sony G800 HD TV stand/surround system + Sony KDL40W2000. Infinity USB, Elvis, CAS1, CAS2.

Hi Rebel

Obviously there's something different in your PC system which won't allow Multidec to load properly. Perhaps, as Rolf is suggesting, something left over from the crash. Assuming your PC is completely "clean" as it were, you could try the following link if you haven't done so already.

Ii is in English and there's an email help facility for any bugs. Best of luck anyway.

MultiDec

Thanks guys.
Maybe as rolfw said I have conflicts with other versions. As I,ve installed that many different versions on earlier as I had an IRQ conflict. Now maybe I need to completely Wipe it all clean and start over now I have solved the IRQ conflict.I will let you know how I get on.
