ProgDVB Picture breakup

Is it normal with ProgDVB to experience bad breakup of the picture even on strong signals from 13E and 19.2E. My PC is powerful enough 3.06 Processor but still get bad pixellationand video lag on most channels after a few minutes. Is there any Options/Settings anyone can advise to change to help eliminate the problem

Thanks for any advice
Cheers

My System: Dreambox 7000, Skystar2

Can be many things, but I found one that helped was having a big, fast, empty (de-fragged) disk, loads of memory, huge buffers and high CPU priority.

I was referring to the timeshift buffer. Can't remember off-hand how to do it in ProgDVB, but in MT it can be setup/adjusted by right clicking the main window, then General Settings, click the timeshift tab, and set the location and size.

There is something similar in ProgDVB. Can't get on my ProgDVB computer to check at the moment.

Either set it up on the root directory of the disk, or beter still, have it in memory. I have mine set to 200MB size, and 4X recording speed (in MT). You can experiment with the latter to give best results.

Of course, a good graphics card also helps, and I think I remember people having problems with HyperThreading being enabled...

You could also try stopping any other programs and services running while you're using ProgDVB, esp. Anti-Virus software etc.

Hi Rossy,
Click on settings > audio video > time buffer.
