I am new to this group. What is the best PC SAT Card. Where can I buy it from in the UK?

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Welcome to the forum, moved your post, as I assume you are speaking of PCI satellite receivers. It would be difficult to say what is the best, but the best value is the Skystar2, not too sure of UK sellers, but there are a few E-tailers who do them _http://www.dvbshop.net/ _http://www.sateuropa.co.uk and several others.

Hi Mate - it depends on what you want to do with it, and as Rolfw said the SS2 is a good bet. Having said that if your PC is one of the older / slower ones then you may have a problem with some of the encrypted channels if that is your thing.

I have a Hauppague DVB/S / SS1 card which does most of the work on it's own. So does not rely too much on the computer's architecture for that.

They're more expensive but can record to HD in real time should you want to save progs. If you have a fast-ish PC then the SS2 is propably the cheapest way to get into all of this strange malarky.
