Question newbie

hi all my first post .. so be gentle...i was thinking about getting one of the skystar2 dvb pci cards.. there is a few on Ebay at the moment...i am finding out all i can about softcams..
i was thinking about taking my old sky digi dish down and putting up a 70-80cm dish fixed at 13 e.. what would i be likley to get with this set up?..ie what can the sofcams currently decode??i used to have a motoriesd analouge system a while a go so i am a bit out of touch!!!!..

My System: IDD CI24 ECONO MM Penta 1.20 Galaxy II 1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 21 years and is still driven by a modified wiper motor from a Ford Anglia. It's like me sometimes groans but always performs

I am not up to date on softcams as I do not use them but the problem is that as soon as somebody posted something it would be out of date. You really need to have a good read of all the various forums. I would recommend you keep the digidish where it is and use a 2nd dish for your 13deg which you could later motorise easily enough for even more sats.

thanks for reply toppervte33h ..its just an idea ..i dont have a sky sub anymore
but if the softcams are not reliable then i wont bother...i will try to find out a bit more about the system first...
