Question Is Sky Digi Compatible with PCTV Cards?

I am about to have Sky Digital (London) installed in two days, and have yet to purchase a TV set, as I am considering all the PC TV Card options out there.

My question(s) is this:

Does Sky Digital work on most/all TV Cards?

If not, do you know which ones do work with Sky Digi?

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

I would guess that most PC TV cards would work with a Sky digibox, if they have a video and audio in then you should get a better picture though, than you would using the RF in.

rolfw,

I have since bought the WinTV-DVR-250 and installed it on my XP Professional op sys.

I was told by 'they' that some tv cards did not support sky digital, hence the question.

I have encountered my first problem. When I use the record function, and select load/play, it crashes on my XP Prof version - not sure if I need an updated driver etc, but will look into it.

Hope this is not the first of many heartaches.

Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.

Hi,

I have had no problems with receiving from a Sky Digibox using Win TV Go or Radeon AIW cards.

Alan.
