My System: Skystar2, Fortecstar Passion HD, moteck 2100, Lidl 80cm dish |
Having discovered that I can't use my Skystar2 pci in my new motherboard (Asus A8N SLi), I thought it worthwhile starting a new thread to highlight the issue, which has resulted in some people damaging their motherboards. See this link:- _http://www.dvbviewer.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7761&st=0&p=63636& I would also like some advice on what to do now, as I need a Skystar2 compatible Socket 939 motherboard, which will accept my AMD64 4000 cpu and my nvidia 7800gt pci/e graphics card. Any suggestions as to what would be best? Thanks Woody

| I'm on my second Asus A8N MB which has now gone belly up, and I have read various reports of it not likeing TV cards in general. I have ordered a Skystar USB and probably have to RMA the second motherboard. These things should come with a warning! | ||

| Well I have RMA'd the Asus and am now the owner of a DFI lan Party Extreme. Someone stated on another forum that he was running the skystar2 on a DFI Nforce motherboard, only thing is I'm terrified to try it! I dont want to see a third board die on me, I think my retailer must think I buy them and throw them at the wall. | ||

My System: Skystar2, Fortecstar Passion HD, moteck 2100, Lidl 80cm dish | Best of luck Pinkerton. If you do decide to take the plunge, let us know if it works. I just bought a Twinhan Starbox USB2 to use with my ASUS board. Can't get the bl**dy thing to work though

My System: Skystar2, Fortecstar Passion HD, moteck 2100, Lidl 80cm dish | Got the Twinhan box working now, it came with a duff USB cable! Seems to work fine with My theatre and plug-ins. HDTV looks good on it as well ![]() Couldn't get it work with Progdvb though, prog freezes when scanning for channels Not yet worked out how to move the moteck from MT without USALS, is this possible?

My System: Skystar2, Fortecstar Passion HD, moteck 2100, Lidl 80cm dish | Pleased to hear it works. Just for the record could you give the model number of your DFI board, if my Twinhan box goes belly up I might need to get one. Also, are you using your SS2 to drive a motor?
