CPU usage- DVB viewers?

Hi, have had problems with freezing image on TPS foot/star & have upgraded from 733mhz CPU to 1ghz which has helped. Anyone know the best viewer for the least drain on the CPU? DVBdream is useful as it shows the usage.

You could always use win98se instead of XP.
That'd help a bit if you are suffering.

really? never thought of that. Is that because XP uses so much more CPU than 98? suppose I could connect a 2nd hard drive with 98 on it?

Yes win98 is much easier on the CPU.
But you will need to change the drivers accordingly.

Do you know if it's possible to get a cable so you can have 2 hard drives and the CDrom connected?

Have a look in your PC, there should be spare capacity on the ribbon inside and a spare power connector in the chain anyway.

If not you could always partition you HD.

Most mother boards these days have a primary IDE master and slave and a seconday IDE master and slave thus allowing 2 Hard drives and 2 cd Roms without a problem. Of course it may be that your mother board has the connector but no cable but the cable is not difficult to get hold of.
