Skystar 2 affecting my audio...

I installed my skystar 2 card but when it is enabled, the audio on my system is abit laggy (i.e. when i play an mp3 using windows media player 9 the music is laggy and slow). When i disabled it I played the same mp3 and its normal again.

What is the matter?? Thx for any help~~

hi

I have the same issue, I usually just leave progdvb running with the sound turned down and its ok to play media files without lag then.
A point though is that I have a decent spec PC (P4 3.06mhz,1gb ram)
so it dosn't affect performance.

My System: Skystar 2 amd 64 4200+ Vista 64

I have the same problem I use dvbviewer and have to have it running in the background to play any sound or watch dvd's etc..
Otherwise I get pops and crackles.
If I disable the ss2 driver the problem disappears.
BTW. I hate people who blindly guess on these forums and come out with ridiculous replies like.
"sounds (pardon the pun ) like a comp prob (speed)rather than ss2"
I am running an AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ so no it's not a speed PROB!
