Remote Control Coms Question

I am about to buy a Technisat Skystar 2 2.6D card with remote.

Problem is I do not have a free coms ports ive checked Ebay and there is many USB to RS232 but not RS232 to USB do these things exist and would it work if they do and where do I get one.

Hey Lancelot ive just purchased my skystar can you suggest any forums I can visit software wise, really all I want it for is MPEG 4:2:2 but still.

Also is it recommened to switch off the PC while removing the satellite dish cable.

I must admit I (nearly) always do with the SS1 and it's been fine for years.

Are Skystar able to do blindscans im under the impression theres some sort of 3rd party plugin that make them do it.

Which software will this work with once ive got the card installed thats all really I need.

Diseqc 1.2 to move the dish, MPEG 4:2:2 decoding and blind scan.
