NTL Analogue and TV CARD

Please could someone tell me what the best I can hope for in terms of recieving encrypted channels using my ntl signal and my AverMedia TV Card 98(I think it is 98).

Any help on this will be much appericated

Is there any software out there that can decode an NTL signal or it is totally up to the how the TV Card can perform?
