Question Help from owners of SS2 USB

Before I explain my problem I do not wish to offend any of our great technical wizards on this forum, because I have experienced a lot of assistance from a lot of people who do not know the word quit. The reason the starter is headed the way it is, is because people with SS2 usb may have experienced the same problems I am now. Because of all the different add ons which are available for Progdvb I decided to install the technisat drivers 4.4.0. I downloaded these and installed them, well at least I hope I did it right, as when I checked the Devices mngr and driver info it showed that the 4.4.0 drivers were there. However when I added firstly Hotbird to do a scan it gave me 78-80% signal but would not show any channels as being saved, although it was scanning all the frequecies. It took me several days to try and fathom out why. So I went back into the driver info and did a Roll Back to the previous driver, then all frequencies scanned and saved. I tried several different versions of Progdvb and the 4.4.0 drivers, but with the same result, scanned everything, but saved nothing. I am now using Progdvb v 4.62.6 with 4.03.00 drivers. So is it a quirk with the SS2 usb that it will not accept the 4.4.0 drivers and I cannot progress any further, or am I making the error. So I really would appreciate feedback from SS2 usb owners if they have installed these drivers, or if they have experienced the same problems. Apologies for long post, thank you.

Hi m8 thanks for that, will maybe look into that later, but do not want to upset the progdvb at moment and miss all the footy, have saved the page to go back to, but looking at that the first post was made back in june, maybe I will message him to see if he got it sorted. By the way City left it a bit late yesterday, but my team are the strongest at the moment, holding up the rest of the division
