Skystar 2 doesnt show channels

I've installed my dish correctly and the signal is ok, but ProgDVB doesnt show satellite channels. I've got monoblock which is set to Astra and Hotbird satellites. Can you help me to solve the problem ??

by 'doesn't show sat channels' do you mean there is no signal? it ss2 able to scan the satellites? or do you bean the channels have a signal but are black?

channels are black
there is a signal (>70%) and SS2 scans satellites, and what is most annoying, I cannot watch tv although I've got a signal

Seems to me that you are trying to watch encrypted channels, if so you need an emulator and a softcam for them. Can you watch fta (free-to-air) channels at all?

No. Even FTA channels dont work

Well let's try the easy stuff first. Did you install any video codecs such as elecard? If you didn't you have to install them, for progdvb the elecard codecs are the most compatible.

This package has all the needed stuff and more. You could install all of them if you like, but I would sugest you to install only the elecard and nvidia codecs.

If this doesn't work we'll try other stuff.

Go to:
Settings » Audio Video Options » Directshow

You should be able to choose the elecard codec for most of the options below.

I've set it and still nothing....

How do you choose between the 2 satellites? Have you got the diseqc configured correctly?

I dont think that diseqc is a problem.
Is it possible that my card is locked ??

it's not a diseqc problem since you have a signal- it's a video renderer thing
