Playing back .ts Recordings

I have a skystar2 which I use with AltDvb. When I record a program with AltDVB, it usually records it in .ts format. How do I go about playing back .ts files in windows or converting it to mpeg format.
Cheers for any help in advance
Chib

My system contains the ff:
Skystar 2
AltDVB
Athlon XP 1600+ just over 750MB RAM

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Have a look in the Dreambox forum, as there are a couple of threads there about .ts files. The Dreambox records in that format.

I have ProgDVB but I prefer AltDVB as it seems to me more configurable. I dont mind ProgDVB but it uses a lot of CPU power and cant show HD channels. HD channels are always jerky..

If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots

BSPlayer and VLC both play .ts files.

My System: Dusty Dreambox 7000s, & Sky HD.

Try renaming the .ts file to .mpg
I use DVR Studio pro to burn to dvd as well.

Happy Dreaming

I mentioned that on another forum and got a nice, detailed response as to how ts and mpg are not the same. Bit spikey

My System: [ Relook 250S ]

I only use mediaplayer classic and whatever codec altdvb uses, works nice.
