My System: Sky Star 2 - Motorised Errr.. thats it.
Talking St@rkey DVB USB Receiver....

Hello all.. Yes I'm new to this forum and have recently jumped
into the Digital Satellite Pool after being an old Analogue "hacker"
so apologies now for being a "Newbie"

My question is has anyone heard of the St@rkey or starkey Reciever ?
I have purchased one of of E-bay and frankly it's excellent for the £60
I paid for it.
It's a USB receiver with 2 CI slots in the rear and after much wrangling with
the software I'm now getting all the Free to Air TV and Radio channels off of
Astra 19.2 East.
I've also just ordered a Joker Cam so will have to wait and see if this works
in the box..
Can anyone give me any hints, tips or point me in the direction of software that I can use in conjuction with this PC receiver to get a bit more from it ?
Any feedback much appreciated !!

Sounds good, if it will drive a motor, even better.

19E might not be the best place to park it though.

Don't mind my spelling

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

I have one, but haven't really played with it, perhaps might give it a try with an X-CAM.

My System: Starkey USB DVB-S

Which DVB software are using with the Starkey DVB? I have tried various versions of ProgDVB v4x, but it crashes & locks up. Also some probs with the Decoders, errors like "codec not found". Recommended codecs?

Can't help I'm afraid, the Starkey has sat in its box in the loft pretty much since this thread was posted nearly five years ago.
