Well my advice is simple try to describe exactly what you are doing as your original post looks like a load of secret code to me and does not even make an intelligable sentence. It may do to someone who also talks this kind of geek speak but we expect people to speak English on here

My System: Skystar 2, (so far) Hopefully 80cm dish & 0.3db monoblock P4 2.53Ghz O/C 3.02Ghz Athlon XP 2200 HTPC Barco Data 701 CRT Projector 87" wide 16:9 screen

Hi there

AC3 through progdvb is easy using the elecard/cyberlink/nvidia/intervideo codecs, its as simple as ticking the SPDIF output in 'file', 'property' 'audio settings'.

In Valex's AC3 filter, on my system, if i check the SPDIF out in the AC3 filter control panel it hoses all my video playing software and like you say crashes your computer.

You are best off using the audio decoder in the Elecard codec, or one of the others nvidia etc, but id stay away from AC3 filter.

hope this helps
