My System: aOpen MiniPc 2.16 Core Duo, 512Mb, rubbish graphics with TechnoTrend S2-3600
Question Core AVC & TT S2-3600

Just received a brand new TT S2-3600(USB HDTV) and can get all channels using TT-Media and the supplied Power DVD for HD decoding. The Power DVD HD Decoder does not seem to good so I looked for some other programs.

Could someone point me in either direction:

1) How to get Core AVC to work in ProgDVB?
2) How to get my new TT S2-3600 to work in AltDVB?
3) Any other software I could get the combination of Core AVC and my TT S2-3600 to work?

I would really like to use Core AVC because this can decode BBC HD without a problem (saved .ts streams).

Currently I am using the BDA drivers that were provided with the card, are there any different/better drivers I should be using?

Thanks Bob.

My System: HTPC: AMD Athlon 4200+ X2 | Twinhan sat CI DVB-S | Nebula DVB-T | iMON rsc | HD70 | Kenwood DVT7000 | Tannoy EFX5.1 | Moteck SG2100A | ISS 80cm

Bob, to make core work in Progdvb

You first need to record some HD material with TT media, then you need to start up "graph edit" (located in the Progdvb directory), once open press ctrl+r and browse for your recording, graph edit should render the file with the available filters installed on your machine, so make sure that coreAVC is installed. With the graph drawn you can edit and exchange filters if you want

If you wish you can save the graph, but you also need to save as xml and save with a filename like "avc.core" (the program will add an "xgr" extension to make the file "avc.core.xgr") save the file in C:\ProgDVB\Filters.

Start Progdvb, click settings > audio and video and select the directshow tab, select the core filter in the drop down list and click OK, select an HD channel and see if it works, It didn't work for me with a twinhan card but give it a go you may have better luck than me.
