Help Needed Re Pinnacle PCTV Sat Pro PCI

Hello there everyone
I am a new member to this site and was pointed this direction by Sky themselves I called them to see if they sold a PC based card reader so I could use my sky card with my PC to recieve the channels I subcribe to.
My problem is I have a Pinnacle Sat Pro pci card I have tried using most of the software available but come unstuck when trying to enter in the cam keys. Is there anyone out there who would be so kind as to take me through the proceedure step by step also tell me the best software to use
Many thanks in advance
Andi

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

Sky have punted you over here as they do not know what to do with awkward questions!

Sky do not sell any PCI based cards, and there are no official NDS cams available..

IF the pci card has a cam slot on it you may be able to use a dragon cam in it. If not you cant do what you are trying to do.

If its this one:

http://www.cd-writer.com/catalog/pinnacle-pctv-p-8367.html

then you get to watch the fta clear channels on 28E only. Theres absolutely no way to watch the sky pay channels on it.

Yes thats the one..But without moving the dish it picks up from hotbird as well as a couple of others within 10 degrees either side of 28.2 all told it has picked up around 910 fta viewable channels which has supprised me to say the least.
Once again Thank you for your help

Unlikely - Hotbird Astra 1 and Astra 2 all use the same frequencies, so if you scan certain frequencies on one it appears you have got channels on the second and third slots as well. A satellite dish typically has an acceptance angle of around 3-4 degrees

If you have the English stuff on 28E, the Italians on 13E and the others without moving your dish you have some pretty freaky signal reflections in your area!

Little is impossible in the world of sat reception, but some of it is pretty improbable.

Hi this is probably a negative as you can get, but that card was tested on Dr Dish a couple of weeks ago, and they probably have more equipment to test than any of us on here. They slated the software in trying to get it to work, but they did contact Pinnacle for help. They then tried it again with the info Pinnacle had supplied them and still it would not work. This happened twice, and in the end they gave up, they then took it outside and said it was not worth all the agro, and the best place for it was in the trash bin, and thats where they put it. I was going to try one, but having seen the report I decided to keep my money. But then again they could be completely wrong. I do hope you are able to get it working, and that this post is not too dissappointing.
