The only online guide I've seen is to scrap Vista and go back to XP until Microsoft get the damned thing to work properly as there's too much incompatible software (according to Vista), even Norton's software needs to patch Vista in order for it to be able to even install antivirus software!!!

My System: 1.2M, & 55cm Gregorian Dish`s, 1.8m Precision dish Jaeger 1224 H-H motor.Dreambox 800, Vbox-II. SS2 Card.

taken from another forum mate.........

with 4.3.2 drivers my ss2 is working fine on Vista...after installing Vista in device manager card was recognized as UNKNOWN DEVICE or something and after clicking on INSTALL DRIVER (or maybe uPDATE driver) and after install vizard is open i choose 4.3.2 driver that i previously copied on HD...last versions of DVBDream & Prog DVB are working fine, but Alt Dvb,my favorite viewer is not working at all..

after installing 4.3.2 drivers DVB Dream worked ,but ProgDVB nada...so i downloaded TS4.4.1BETA drivers(20 Mb cca)...gone in install folder of those drivers & run SETUP.EXE...after few restarts soft was installed(Server4PC & DVBViewer),and in the device manager info saids that SS2 is running on 4.4.1 drivers...Prog DVB was working now ,but not quite good:freezes a lot & do not want to open some frequencies...so ,in device manager i uninstalled card(checking DELETE DRIVERS FOR THIS SOFTWARE box) and then installed it again with 4.3.2 drivers....Prog DVB now is working fine...(gone again through this process half hour ago, just to check if results will be the same)...probably all this installation is to complicated & unnecessary, but even on the XP my card was tricky to install(i ve got it from my friend a year and half ago as"faulty, non working one")

ProgDVB works only with this version of drivers TS441BETA20061113.
And when instal deivers you must delete BDA folder.

If you try to instal with BDA folder, go to safe mode and uninstal SS2 then go to normal mode and instal. SS2 works OK

got it working now.

have to edit progdvb .ini and replace
SKYSTAR2.DEVICE

to:

TechniSat DVB-PC TV Star PCI (BDA).DEVICE

then all works fine (with the TEST BDA drivers)
