My System: SKY (FTA) Dual LNB - Hotbird/Astra SkyStar 2 PCI (with ProgDVB) Maybe AtlanticBird if I can find WWE feeds |
Hi guys, ive been away from the sat scene for about a year now but have decided to get back into it. I am using a DVB-s card that I have hooked up to Hotbird 13oE (& astra 19.2oE when I get round to aligning it). I also have the option of setting up hispasat (as I did a year ago). Now, my question is, What is "open" at the moment? I know that its a game of catchup, I just want to know what my options are. Cheers

My System: Sky; Raven 90 with LNBs for 1W, 7E, 13E 16E and 19E; Technomate 1500 and Kathrein Analogue Receivers | Some packages on different satellites are currently open on some receivers (don't know about the PC cards). On Hotbird, Polsat is open and TPS still but only just and not for long; assorted stuff on other satellites eg Premiere on 19E and Digi on 1w.

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 5 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/13E/16E /19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S ![]() The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue | Not much these days - TPS is closing down in a few weeks, and Premiere is midway through switching to the secure NDS encryption! Theres no point putting a dish on 30W unless you just want the fta channels - the pay services have been secure for months.

My System: SKY (FTA) Dual LNB - Hotbird/Astra SkyStar 2 PCI (with ProgDVB) Maybe AtlanticBird if I can find WWE feeds | Thanks, It just goes to show how much things change in 12months. At one time Hispasat was my Sat of choice. Anyway, What sat would you guys suggest? I realise that more and more providers are going secure, but atm I`ll take what is there ... Cheers

No point in cluttering up your plugin folder with other emulators.

The MultiVision channels on TPS are long gone, and the Premiere "Ab18!" channels will soon be securely black behind NDS.

My System: Dbox + Skystar2, 2.2m Kinhuge Dish with Inverto LNB and Invacom ADF-120 feedhorn. Pace 1.3.25 and 80cm for Sky. | If Vplug doesn't open enough for you then get wincsc (with an up-to-date cfg file). You might find that you can open whatever you want........ Strictly for educational purposes of course

My System: SKY (FTA) Dual LNB - Hotbird/Astra SkyStar 2 PCI (with ProgDVB) Maybe AtlanticBird if I can find WWE feeds | Alrighty, WinCSC seems like a good program to try, but a google search brought back so many shite results I am unsure what the latest version is, ANY IDEA ? Thanks v 1.2.0.2483 is the latest I can see but this dates back to 2005 ... Last edited by tw4t; 06-09-2008 at 04:44 PM Reason: Version # added

OK if you have a subbed card to share (and a CI module with your PCI card).

Pace 1.3.25 and 80cm for Sky. | The card servers aren't always online, and most change passwords daily, so you need to make sure you have an up to date file. It's not always reliable, but sometimes gets a bit extra.

My System: SKY (FTA) Dual LNB - Hotbird/Astra SkyStar 2 PCI (with ProgDVB) Maybe AtlanticBird if I can find WWE feeds | yea, ive had no luck with wincsc either. I have been looking into the paid for servers that are advertised on various sites though, what do people here think to paid for card servers ? Are they a rip off ? (I know it defeats the purpose of getting "free" channels but for a few quid a month they promise a LOT) ... and can anyone recomend one if they are decent ...
