Question Sky Star 2 USB *** HELP please

Hi,
I'm using sky star usb with a laptop and progDVB to watch tv channels.
My dish as two LNBs pointing to Astra, Hotbird and Hispasat.
I can see the free channels available in Astra with progDVB.
When I choose TV Cabo channels (Portugal) I get the information that signal quality is about 60% (+/- 1%) but can get no image and sound at all.
I think the scrambled channels are not being decoded at all, although I have Yankse and snitch decoders installed with progDVB.
Do you know of any incompatibility with SS2 USB and scrambled/codified channels?
How can I get to watch those channels from CaboTV, Via+, etc..? As I said, I get the signal quality for each channel but no real image and sound...

Many Thanks.

Sorry, a little confused here, you say
My dish as two LNBs pointing to Astra, Hotbird and Hispasat.
Would appear that you are listing 1 too many satellites there for 2 LNBs.

I rolfw. Thanks for quick answer.
In fact I do not know how many LNBs I have; what I know is that I can catch channels from Astra, Hotbird and Hispasat.
Neverthless, concerning the non-visualization of the coded tv channels from TV Cabo, cn you help me please?
Thanks.

Are you able to watch Andalucía TV on Hispasat? Have you tried dropping a new softcamkey into ProgDVB?

You simply download it from somehwere like Toecutters, it will be attached to the Mach1 or DJMaff 6 in 1 file and then I believe it just drops into the ProgDVB route directory, there will be details in another thread. Excuse the vagueness of that reply, but I haven't run ProgDVB for a couple of years.

As Rolfw said, just drop the softcam key into the Progdvb root directory. Details can be found how to do this at the top of this thread.
Toecutter's forum is listed in Nobby's Big List in this forum's main section.

Thank you. What is the exact name that the file must have and where should I put it? In the ProgDVB root folder only?

Yes. whether you use the downloader or get the file from a single website
it should be called softacam.key and only needs to be in the root of Progdvb
where Yankse or whatever softcam you are using will pick it up.

Sorry, the filename is "softacam.key" or "softcam.key"?
I'm doubftul from your response.

So, I should get to see the crypted channels right? There is no known problem with sky star USB and progDVB that may prevent me from seeing the channels?

Thanks

The file is softcamkey http://67.43.4.157/showthread.php?t=84821

As far as I know there is no diference between the USB and PCI version with regard to decrypting.

Having this, I just need to install ProgDVB, the softcamkey file in the root directory and the Yankse plug-in in the root directory also, right?
Thanks.
