Is it possible to decrypt Irderto2 and/or Viaccess2 channels using a Skystar2 pci + smartmouse card reader + a valid subscription card with a software cam?

yeah You cand do it but before that download this file and put it in plugin file for the program you use to watch TV if you use progDVB put it in this directory C:/ProgDVB
after that open ProgDVB and go to plugins then u see IrdetoCAM click on it then Go to Setting and choose a Com Port u connect a Smartmouse.
now put a Valid Card for Irdeto2 and Have Fun

This will not decrypt any channels without a legitimate Card

i keep getting " incoming ecm instruction.....signature wrong" over and over! I have all the settings correct

im thinking perhaps the new card cannot be activated by this method, perhaps it needs a proper set top receiver. Anyone in Northern Ireland fancy activating me card?

Try md irdeto cam 1.07_01 beta......


This version doesn't have autoECM, so you will have to manually select the ecm (go to the channel properties in progdvb and double click on the correct ecm...)
You will also need to enable EMM for your card to activate, leave it running tuned in the channel for about 1 hour to activate and receive the keys...

ok tryin that thanks...its currently receiving ecm instructions..seems to be doing different stuff than before..fingers crossed. am I correct in assuming that irdeto CA type is the one ending 604 ?

Yes , Irdeto ECM are of the type 6xx (604,622,624,etc)
Just double click on it and watch irdeto cam monitor.... should work
However, if mdirdetocam plugin cannot activate your card, you will have to use o receiver box with an irdeto cam for it... then put the card back to your pc, will work fine

I receive plenty of ECM instructions, but still not working, so I assume ill need a proper irdeto CAM to activate as you say. The problem is I dont know anyone with one.

Have you enabled the EMM setting???
Also enable the Emm Logging , it will create a file in the progdvb folder with all the emm commands... send it to me and i'll sent it to the author of irdetocam plugin, maybe he can help.... ( a screenshot of the plugin monitor while recieving emm's would help too)
