What Spec PC you got? Also are you getting frame drop out?

I have the following

3.4MHz DCOre P4
512MB Gainwood Geforce 7900GT
3GB 533MHz Ram

I also have the following

CoreAVC Pro Codec
Powerdvd 7 Trial Codec
DVB Viewer (FULL VERSION)
Moonlight pack
HDTV Pump

With all these installed I still get a few frames dropping out on the BBC HD feed. What settings are you using etc....

MORE INFO REQUIRED!!!!!

Christ your right, been twatting about most of the day trying to convince it to work in DVBviewer (TE), progDVB, dvb portal and skyview and getting nothing, this one works out of the box! Only annoying thing is the loud noise it makes when it finishes a scan, when I have my volume up at max thanks to the low volume levels on satellite.

Dvbdream

Dear I cannot get dvbdream to work. It does not connect to skystar2 and works in offline mode only. Besides I cannot get the coreavc pro to register on command prompt. The message says that window cannot locate regsvr32.

Please help.

Bronking, decided to have a go at dvbdream I installed it the other day and it appeared ok, so I thought I would try the HD side as you suggested in your post. So I reinstalled inc the coreavc Pro. However I am experiencing a little problem. see piccy's. If you get a minute any chance you could assist with the problem so that I could advance further, would be appreciated, thanks

Looks like you two are having the same problem, it worked for me without any trouble.
Perhaps it is because I installed the 4.4.0.0 drivers?

Thank you for the info Caned Toad I have downloaded the drivers. Do I have to remove anything or do I open the file and they will install in the right place, thanks

I just went into device manager and selected update driver and pointed it to the SkyNET.INF file, this was from the lite pack.

Yeah, the only files it really needs are the inf and skynet.sys.

Full procedure:

windows key + pause

Hardware Tab

Device Manager Button

Network Adapters unfold

Right Click Technisat and choose update driver

No, not this time, next

Install from a specific location, next

Don't search, next

Have Disk button

Browse for skynet.inf

Hope that makes DVBDream work

Is dvbdream compatible with skystar1 (siemens/techotrend v. 1.3 with mpeg hardware)? I made some test but it will not recognize my satboard. Could anyone help me? Thank you!

No, they dropped support for it apparently, you could use an old version, but then you'd lose new features.

Read your earlier posts again, what did you uninstall before resinstalling? DvbDream requires some bits from the full install of the original software.
From the FAQ:
9. You are a B2C2 (SkyStar2, AirStar or CableStar) owner and can't make it run on DD?
DD requires some ax and dll files provided by Technisat (in their official driver packages). When you update your driver using device manager, it won't update these files.
So make sure the following file's versions are 4.3.2.9999 or newer

c:\windows\system32\skydll.dll
c:\Program Files\TechniSat DVB\bin\Sky2PCAVSrc.ax
c:\windows\system32\drivers\skynet.sys

Briefly, DVB Dream needs Server4PC to be installed on the system.
Also I'd make sure you're not running any other satellite apps when you install incase it upsets it.

My System: TV on Mac

Forget about Progdvb completely! Do yourself a favor! What a rip off and shame of software industry!

And definitely don't buy it (as I have done....)!, no CI support, no PIP, no HD (even though have registered their codec), doesn't tune into all channels, doesn't allow you to manually scan / add,

Takes ages to clean uninstall (writes files all over)

Don't clog your hard drives!
