Dreambox Doubt & People FAQS about CS Specailly for INDIANS

Hi Friends,

I have noticed lot of my m8 are asking several questions abot DM,CS and many other issues related to Satellite Hunting etc etc.I dont know how many Questions I can answer but I will try to help everyone and about the try to solve there problems

1) Dreambox is not sold in INDIA in open market

2) CS is not a legal thing&lt

3) There are still people who sell DMs in INDIA

4) Beware about Online trading for Boxes and CS(as I suffered lot of losses)

5) People think if they take DM they watch every channel FREE ....This is totally wrong.

There are diferent different protocols which DM supports like CCCAM,GBOX,NEWCS etc etc ....

But CCCAM is best and Easy to use in DM.....
I have started this thread let people ask questions so that I can clear my friends doubts.

Regards,
MBD

1. Currently with dream box u can only receive FTA channels
2. if u want to receive any other channels u need to pay and get a cs line
3. There are no cs lines that are available for free, all paid lines
4. For free u will only get a test line that would last for a day or two
5. For running ccam and using card sharing you require and internet connection
6. From March 08 indian customs are opening all boxes and checking
7. Dubai customs is not letting passengers take dream boxes out of dubai they are confiscating the same
8. dream box cost would be roughly around 150$ for a clone. which includes shipping, delivery and customs (Before March 08 )
9. currently prices are going up due to more difficulty in getting them
10. Along with dream box you would also need to invest in dish, wiring, lnb, switch depending upon how many lnb's u r connecting.
11. There are lot of foreign sellers selling the boxes, payment options and delivery is doubtful so be careful before payment.

Really?
What do you call running CS servers and asking for money for this service from people who have these boxes?

Dunno about you guys, i am a newbie to this and just got everything setup at my place, most of the guys are in it for free or for money, they are sharing lines, making money, and people in india whom i spoke to mostly wanted it to watch adult channels or foreign channels which they do not get on dish and tata, and are willing to pay for the same, there are lot of websies offering lines and signals .

so definitely i can say u have both hobbyst and people makeing money and people wanting to see paid channels for free here, the mix is of all the 3,

My System: 14 Feet C-Band Mesh Dish and TECHNOSAT CX - Digital Satellite Receiver.

What is the average cost of CS here in India, assuming one has a Dreambox, Dish Antenna and is hooked up to a broadband internet connection? I would only be interested in English channels. TATA Sky and Dish TV offer little of what interests me.

Are there many English channels broadcasting into your area? Remember CS only shares the encryption keys to the channels - it doesnt share the actual channels - you have to have access to the broadcasts in the first place.

Yes indeed there are. If I were to go for CS, my first priority would go to channels broadcasting on Intelsat 7/10 and Intelsat 10 at 68.5E. Unfortunately, Multichoice Africa doesn't have the license to broadcast here in India. Check out the following list as an example:

http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/mcafricaintel10.html

Check out the coverage area:

http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/intel10_c.html

Is it possible to receive these channels through CS?

Hi ChitChat,

We are receiving Intelsat 7/10 @ 68.5 There is a Pcakage called Multichoice the Signal is very Strong All over INDIA we are receiving it on even on 6 feet Dish signal is around 80 to 90 %.

So you can take a 6 feet Dish to receive C band of this satellite.

Remember we cannot receive this satellite KU band in INDIA.

Regards,
MBD

Chit chat best is to have card sharing and use the same, i don't think u will find keys anywhere on google for multichoice, cs can be free, exchange or paid, google and search it, should be able to get more info on the same.

Am very new with DM500 S , accidently I choose 'Factory Reset' all the channels stored in DM 500 S was loss and blank. The person who sold this box to me told me that he need to send this box to company to reactivate the channels back. He asking monthly subscription for this box also actually I don't have a card for this box. Is this true? I connect this box with broadband internet connection, and I am getting lots of pay channels like CNN, ESPN, MM1, MM2 etc.

I'll be grateful to you if you can help me to get back all the channels.

Regards,
Akh...

You should be able to put the frequencies back easily enough.

Read the Idiots Guide

The Ultimate Idiot Guide! For Idiots by Idiots!Answers,Questions,Tips + Tricks: RTFM!

all the info you need for editing channels/frequencies is in there.

You must remember the DM is not an easy receiver to use properly. There are MONTHS of effort and learning required to get the best out of it. If you want something that works straight out of the box with no effort get an official subscription
