My System: 6 Feet dish with Beetel STB focussed to Intelsat 10 78.5 E in Chennai
Tuning Asiasat and PAS 10

Hi,

I live in southern part of India(Chennai) and having 6 feet Dish with Beetel SD-95 DVB. Currently my dish is pointing to 68.5 E towards PAS 10.

My Transponder Frequency 1 : 05150 and Frequency 2 : 10600.

Kindly let me know, is there a possibility to view both satelites PAS 10 and Asiasat 2 100.5E ?. Kindly let me know with what should be the Transponder Frequency to be entered in that case to get both satelites C and Ku band signals.

I would appreciate it a lot if you could let us know more about the sat scene in Tanzania.

Theoretically depending on the location 50W-120E are above the horizon. Of course the receivable satellites are much less since their coverage does not favour Tanzania.

Here we have some positions that may be received with bigger C-Band dishes:

For example it would be of interest, if anybody receives the Asiasats at 100.5E and 105.5E or the Insats at 83E and 93.5E. Thaicom 2+3 may also be of interest. I will list a few more positions that might be viewed: 76.5E/75E/72E/68.5E/64E/62E/57E/49E/32.9E/30.5E/26.2E/1W/5W/8W/11W/22W/27.5W/31.5W/34.5W/37.5W/50W

For Ku-Band reception, mostly also bigger dishes recommended, the next listed are worth to try:

68.5E South Africa beam
45E South Africa beam
36E Central Africa beam
33E Kenya beam
16E Madagascar beam
7E Africa beam
22W South Africa beam

With very large dishes (>5m) may be the reception of more is possible.
So if you know more please let us know.

Greetings from rainy and extremely cool Southwestern Germany (3-10C).

My System: coship receiver 2000,Dreambox 500;2 ku3cband dishes of 2,4,6&8feet,amd 64 pc with 1GB ram usb tv tuner card

It would be better for you to purchase a 4 ft c band solid dish for asiasat3S@105E.
With new LNB for Horizontal & Verticle channels you are likely to receive some
good Free to Air Channels.Ku band of Asiasat is not available in my location, the same applicable to you.

I hope you find an idea to get pas 10 plus asiasat on a single dish, although I have not yet experimented the same.
