Setup my own dish at home for FTA and A+ channels

Hi Friends..

I was looking for information on how to setup my own dish at home so that I can view the free channels. That includes FTA channels from india
and A+ channels like hotbird and REN TV.

Right now I have Tata sky at home, but I don't find any way to view these channels on my tata sky STB. I have seen some thread discussing the hacks to view Additionally channels on Tata sky, but I don't find them reliable.

I need following details.

1. What hardware would be required and approximate costs.
2. What channels would be available
4. Could I attach those with my Tata sky.

I don't understand jargons like LNB and few others, what I understand is, I would need to buy a STB and a dish, and than position it and set some frequency. That's it.

What STB/Dish should I buy.. which one is better and will allow the A+ channels like Hotbird and REN TV.

I know.. there are lots of GURUS here who can help me.. Come ON.

first of all I request all members to write there location.

As you know India is a very big country so if you reside in north india you can get hotbird and many European satellites which shows Adult channels.

But if you reside in South you have very little options. so tell us your location.

In tatasky dish you cannot get adult channels as most satellites are european so you need minimum 6 to 8 feet dish

Yes you can get hotbird and many european sats if you live in some hilly area on western indian borders

The basic fact be clearly informed:An excellent quality dish of at least 8 ft,LNB and satellie receiver different from so called Tata sky.

Hello

Yes you can receive quiet a good number of channels. If you able to visit payyanur ,contact Mr. Nataraj ,he receives Hot bird with 14ft dish.

Since you are also near to the location , you can get good channels.

I have pci dvb-s card on my pc and I am subscribe with airtel digital tv that work well on my T.V. I want to know can I watch these channel on my pc through this card if yes then how. Please help me
