Hi Friends, Can I receive Yamal 201 or Yamal 202 In South India What Dish Size is required for receiving these channels and is yamal 202 Near Arabsat 2c I have a 6 feet Solid Sheet Antenna. "The Foot prints are 201(35DB) and Yamal 202 (38) Please Let me know for L polarity what should I enter in Recever(V/H) Regards, Sidd | ||

My System: I have 6 feet dish anteena and DTH ku band dish, coship and Kaon receiver. Right now, i'm receving on my six feet dish(yamal201 90E, insant4A 93.5E, and Asiassat3s 105E c and ku band) with the help of Disec SwItch. | Hi Yes, you must able to receive Yamal 202 @ 49 E on your exixting dish. Thanks & good luck in your search Imran Note: you have to make your LNB in vertical position. and brother u need a teflon which is inserted in your feedhorn mouth. | ||

i heard from some "satcodax" forum that 180 cms dish is needed in south india to receive yamal 202. i think you are looking for REN TV on yamal. is it so ? | ||

Hi siddarth, Download the "world of satellites - II" utility and give bangalore co-ordinates 77 deg east and 12 deg north. you will get infos of all satellite covering this region www.satcodx.info/manual/eng | ||

My System: I HAVE COLORDO RECEVER WITH 6 PRIME FOCUS FEET SOLID SHEET ANTENNA. | Hi Imran, I have successfully trapped Intelsat 12(Ku band) but still I was not able to find signals for any of the following satellites: Thaicom 2/5 Yamal 202 at 49 degree Insat 3E at 55 degree NSS 703 at 57 degree Imran I have not inserted any Teflon or any other material in feed horn please guide me Inserting Teflon is must to catch Yamal 202 or for Nss 703. | ||

Hi Siddarth, you dont need teflon for receiving yamal. since this week-end i tried with the help of a cable operator. and he suggested that he too tried a couple of weeks and able to catch the bird with the help of 12 feet dish. also ren tv-1 is banned (as far is idea) and he get signals often. while ren tv-2 and ren tv-3 are having greater signal quality. it's better to go for 12 feet dish to catch all the birds with greater signal quality. | ||

My System: I HAVE COLORDO RECEVER WITH 6 PRIME FOCUS FEET SOLID SHEET ANTENNA. | HI Arun, As Imran has given me the Idea to first Catch IntelSat 12 Ku band and after that I can easily catch Yamal 201. I was succesfully able to catch Intelsat on a 60 Cm Ku antenna but Yamal 201 was a failure for Me. But as far as charts and EIRP of yamal 201 in bangalore is around 40-41 so a Eirp of 40 is Quite High I am not shore wether I have to insert a Teflon or not may be that's why I am not getting the signals. If you get any update on Yamal 201 49 degree do update me. Regards, Sidd | ||

Hi siddarth, first of all you need a teflon for receing signal from yamal @49. And when you move your dish towards west direction. u need to down ur dish approximately 5 to 10 cm, when we compare it to thaicom2/5. Brother; it looks that u r a new customer in this field. so, if u want to do hard work than yamal must be in your coverage area on your existing six feet dish anteena with help of teflon.
