Torchwood

Just watched the first episode of the new Torchwood 5-parter.

What an improvement! I think that having the luxury of not having to complete a sory in an hour has allowed some decent pacing. I have often felt that Doctor Who has suffered from not being allowed to stretch over a few episodes.

The storyline seems to be shaping up nicely. Russell T Davies can be a bit maudlin at times and I really don't like the religious overtones he occassionally displays. Fortunately there's none of that here. The scene with Jack's daughter, now appearing to be older than he is, was nicely done.

I look forward to the rest of the episodes!

As I get older I find myself thinking about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

I would be surprised if anyone said it had got worse.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"
