My System: Standard Sky for now, but 'watch this space'
Why do my posts keep going to the mods?

Can't find any info around the site with regards to why my posts keep going to mods and admins for acceptance. I'm only assuming it's because I'm a newbie member, but I'm a member on other forums (AV Forums) and never had the issue when I first joined.

Thanks

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Only some of them will go into a queue, as I explained in your thread, if a new member uses any one of a list of key words (often contained in spam posts), the post is put in a moderation queue, obviously a couple of your posts contained one or more of the keywords.

We have to be proactive with spam, as the site is very well indexed by search engines and any post on the forum appears on Google within minutes, thus being a success to the spammer, even if the post is ultimately deleted, the damage has been done.

No, it is not because you are a newbie.
There are certain words that you should avoid typing.
Our mods work quite fast, so just be patient.

I makes perfect sense now. Had no idea you had a key word security proggy that was why the posts where getting re-directed. I know that you wont tell or display what these words are so I'll have to watch what I type and learn. lol

I will watch what I type. I'm very impressed with the speed that the mods and admins operate here, even more impressed that they're the ones you'll find most answering posts.

Cheers for the info
