Why do some of the symbol rates seem impossible to receive on my digibox ? eg. tp1 on 2A South appears to be 29500, or tp8 on 2A South seems to also be 28500. Similar on 2B North. How come I can only choose between 22000 and 27500 ? An what about those "feeds" marked as a symbol rate of 6666-7/8. Devilishly difficult if you ask me. ( Freqs are from lyngsat page )

My System: TM6800HD, TM1000, TM600 Linux,TM5200, TM2200 motor, Triax TD110 dish + Fortec 85cm. Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT | The tp1 looks like it is HD so only a Sky HD type of digibox will get that one. The standard sky digibox is very limited in symbol rates anyway and you are not supposed to get the feeds on it, only a standard satellite receiver would be able to. As for tp8, I have no explanation at the moment?? You can only get 22000 and 27500 on a Digibox because that is all sky want you to have. The boxes are crippled intentionally. Edit, just checked 11856V, it is coming up as sky box office, but no picture, plus two other NDS enrypted channels. Robbo

Blog Entries: 1 My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S ![]() The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue | 29500 is for one of the HDTV services so forget them - your standard digibox wont show them 28500 is probably the same You need to remember that the digibox is slugged (crippled) so its barely functional as a proper satellite receiver. If you want to play with feeds buy a proper (non Sky) receiver.

My System: CM 3.0m @ 28.2 w PACE | Call me weird, but I'm quite happy with my ol 2600. I was just trying each transponder in turn to see what signal I was getting ( looking at the bars on the trusty 2600 of course ) and I came across some I couldn't get. I still can't get it to sink in that I can get 100% signal strength and 95% quality on some of the 2A,2B,2C tps and absolutely nothing whatsoever from 2D ...

My System: Smart lnb, 1m Gibby dish, Stab motor, TM5200D receiver, 57east to 61west. DTT from Sudbury. Virgin Media broadband. | Ref: I still can't get it to sink in that I can get 100% signal strength and 95% quality on some of the 2A,2B,2C tps and absolutely nothing whatsoever from 2D Because 2D has a very tight beam restricted to the UK.
