Special Deal Freesat from Sky question

i know this is a bit of the topic but can any1 help me out.. i recently signed up to freesatfromsky for £75 Sky offered me a 4month trial of 3or4 of there mixes (entertainment music etc) however if I don’t want to continue it on after the 4months I have to ring them up and cancel otherwise they will charge me… …. now they have given me two week free trial of premium packages… sports and movies… ive been reading up about it…. There is a hidden installers menu on the control panel… its got lots of settings… if I changed the phone prefix I reckon they wouldn’t be able to turn it off. Then I ring them up and say I don’t want to continue any subscription just give me FTA stations.. would this work?? would they catch on??

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

It is turned off over the air, not by phone, so unfortunately your plan won't work. Nor will taking the card out of the receiver to avoid the switch off commands, as the card needs also a stay alive signal to work.

You will get FTA stations anyway when you stop subscribing. You don't have to ask for them. I get sky fta and I've never subscribed to sky ever.

Well even if that would work (which it won't), wouldn't that be dishonest to do that?
