Exclamation Technomate 5200, help out a noob plz :D

Hello Satellites UK,

I have a technomate TM-5200D USB (from the readings on the machine) and found out these for astra 2, i dont know if this site has a policy about outside links but doe these still work and are they working on techno mate?_http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/skyuk.html

So thnx and please post because my dad said if the channels dont work or go wrong all the channels lock and scramble and i dont want that to happen

All i want from that link are the cartoon packages thats all. Oh and if they do work, how do install them?

thnx

Hi,

Please de-activate your links as above.

Bad news I'm afraid, you cant watch any of those $ channels on your receiver. They are all encrypted by Sky and your receiver has no possible way at all to decode them. (apart from the free to air channels of course).

You need a Sky box and subcription, or one of the many other methods available to read a sky card. ( Diablo CAM, different receiver, Dreambox etc etc)

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

You can order a Sky subscription from sky, they will send you a card, but will only activate it in a Sky digibox, similarly with any of the independent Sky sellers, the card can only be activated in a Sky digibox.

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue

You have 2 routes to go.

1) Contact Sky and get them to do a normal install at whatever Sky's current offer cost is

2) Provide your own digibox & dish cabling etc and ring Sky to ask for a "second hand box contract"

Or possibly

3) Forget Sky and go for Freesat!

Analoguesat's message to the world
Analogue forever!
