Sly Card swap out on screen message

Got a message on screen this morning saying that my new viewing card has been posted. Please see channel 998 for further details.

My card is based in Aberdeenshire.

A friend of mine did not receive this message but had one saying please insert your new card. Because he has not got the new card yet he pushed back up to cancel the message. It then came back on screen 40 seconds later and kept coming back every 40 seconds. He spoke to sly and they have sent a new one. His card is based in Glasgow.

So looks like Scotland could be first????

And its gonna be a bit of a pain for expats waiting for cards to be forwarded on to them when abroad as it doesn'tīt look like they are giving much time for the swap over.

Cheers

Guys, I havent received my new card yet and have seen the message "Please insert your new card" appear on screen a few times.

If I take the card out, will this stop the message coming up? Next week im recording the Eurovision Semi Finals on BBC 3 using my DVD Recorder and don't want the message to be popping up on screen every few minutes! I gathered, because BBC 3 is FTA, I wouldnt need the card in. Am I right?

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100

That's correct. But I would chase the card up with $ly because you're going to need it soon for your subscription channels.
