You cannot, there are Over The Air updates on 28.2 East, but only for Sky UK nothing else, it is useless for anything other than Sky UK

You cannot, it is transmitted in the data stream only from 28.2 East

The stb firmware does not have DiseqC facilities so cannot be motorised, even if you moved the dish manually you would be limited as regards the FEC and SR as they are restricted with Sky boxes.

Make it into a doorstop by placing heavy bricks inside or throw it into the sea. I doubt it would be worth selling on Ebay as transport cost to a buyer would be more than the stb is worth

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100

You should be able to sell it to an English ex-pat living there. Try advertising it in one of the English language news-sheets.

No if you try to do something with it you destroy the card

The pin is often the last four digits of the number on the card, if it has been changed the your friend then the only way is to reset it by speaking to Sky UK
