Few questions on new white SKY cards

If I got a new white SKY card from someone, am I able to phone SKY up anytime and subscribe using the card?? and for them to apply my details to the card??

also, just in case it happens to be a Freesat from SKY card, is it possible to use the card if I phoned to subscribe to SKY TV and not Freesat??

No. Cards aren't transferrable in this way - although a Freesatfrom Sky Card that has already been activated will subsequently work in any Box. Subs Cards need to be "paired" with a suitable Box ino rder to be able to get Premium stuff (like Sports and Films).

AFAIK, as the FSFS Cards are issued by a separate part of the organisation, they aren't upgradeable to Subs (But I'm not 100% sure about this).

Would it not be easier just to get one in your own name right from the start?
